Event Details

As part of CODAME ART-TECH Festival program. GAMES@CODAME covers all aspects of a building Multi Platform Games in Flash, HTML5 and Native Applications. This is a gaming group located and hosted in San Francisco focused and aim to involve audience and speakers at the national level.

Ben Savage

Presenting the Spaceport Platform allowing Flash developers to create HTML5 applications that can be distributed as high performance, GPU accelerated native apps in the iOS and Android markets.

Open Mic. 10 min. presentations from the Audience

At GAMES@CODAME we value audience interaction and encourage participation. Bring your laptop, device and yoiur code or game to demo, given time is available come up on stage. Currently we already have lined up:

Ann Burkett CEO of Game Dojos, founder the HTML5DevConf, game dev and organizer of dev groups such as Bay Area Game and App Dev will present Game Dojos, an accelerator made for games and game platforms and tools where developers get input from the best in the industry and design/legal/space/funding/distribution support.

Bruno Garcia An engineer at Three Rings / SEGA, Bruno has been lured by the promise of "write once, run anywhere" since Java applets. He'll be introducing Flambe, a haXe framework for rapid game development, and the social game he's been tinkering on.

Matthew Spencer Programmer at a Gaming Start-up in San Francisco showing, first time ever to the public, a stealthy open source project keeping him up at nights, coding or actually hacking it out! Sorry can't mention the project name yet!

Dave Stewart A first look at xJSFL - a JSFL framework/ecosystem designed to make building tools for the Flash authoring environment easy. 15 mins will cover a brief intro to the framework, an overview of the main features in live code, and finally a brief look at how xJSFL helped pimp the production pipeline for the iPhone game, Pocket God.

Joshua Granick

Joshua Granick has a passion for great games, functional design and tools that make life easier. He will make an introduction to NME, a cross-platform framework that mirrors the Flash API. NME makes it possible to deploy fast, native applications for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, webOS, Flash and HTML5.

Q&A with Adobe

Tom Nguyen & Thibault Imbert from the Adobe Flash Player Team will be available for and open Q&A round table discussion. This is an amazing opportunity not be missed!
